Parent to newly diagnosed daughter
Hi all, I’m new here and feel like our worlds been turned upside down, my daughter 16 was diagnosed with focal epilepsy 8 weeks ago, it’s been a rough ride and she currently takes 500mg Keppra in the morning 750mg in the evening. She seems to suffer really badly with post seizure spasms? Like for a few days, legs going everywhere, neck tensing etc, she’s exhausted, can’t weight bear after a seizure for a good day or so, I’m having to carry her to the toilet? I’m waiting to hear from neurology still and I have no idea what’s normal and what’s not? I just wondered if anyone can share their experience if it’s similar? Xx
Hi Jill, we are seeing neurology tomorrow, unfortunately she now seems to have developed FND symptoms as well as the epilepsy?
