What type of epilepsy were you diagnosed with?

All that I know is that I have granmal seizures & when they did the EEG 11 years ago after my daughter was born he said he didn't know any triggers & wasn't sure why I have seizures due to my brain waves only slightly being off so he diagnosed me with epilepsy & said I would be on medication the rest of my life

  4. My standing diagnosis is the placeholder Epilepsy, Type Unknown. I had 2 Grand Mal seizures, (the 2nd of which happened in the ER while being examined for the first), in November 2021. I continued to have mini convulsive seizures in my sleep, about one or two a month, until mid March. Since then I have not had any more convulsions, but there is evidence i am still having occasional absence seizures (sore jaw/teeth, snoring fits, harsher mornings) but until I have a seizure while hooked up to an EEG it seems like it's a giant question mark as to an official designation.
