Honey bee keeping. The bee experts saw me have a 20 second or so Absence Seizure. They decided I could contract/rent a hive to them in my yard in exchange for 10% of honey. Really, I just wanted to have tea with the queen (outdoors drinking ice tea and watching bees go and come)

No. Just regular cross stitching material. But the eye strain makes me go dizzy, even if I use something to make it look bigger.
I was working on a picture of The Beatles. Wanted to enter it into the fair. But I haven't done it in almost a year. All I do now is play games on my phone and read the news, but even that can make me dizzy too.

I also make it so the background of the screen is dark with white writing. I adjust the brightness and contrast. I use an antiglare screen on the computer monitor, and a piece or anti glare over my phone screen.
I enlarge the writing. But there's just some things that we can't make larger.
Another thing that can make me have a seizure is sound sensitivity. My roommate thinks I can control my nerves. But only my mind does that. Heck, it takes me 2 hours to get to sleep when I turn out the lights.

Doctor recommends 2 hours of gaming time, but I haven't had a Seizure since 3/7/25 so I played all the time.

I had planned to be an elementary teacher but ended up on disability after 4 status seizures in 14 months. Once Covid hit I decreased volunteering as I catch everything. However, I do the prayer chain in our church, pray with people, and love encouraging others with calls and cards. I also love spending time with my family , going to concerts, and attending sporting events as well as going on walks while listening to music. Reading is also great!
