Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy
Hi my daughter was diagnosed with JME. She had about one or two grand mal seizures a year. This year she has had a spike been on Levetiracetam 1500 twice a day . Is this the appropriate medicine ? Or what would be ? Also she has the seizures early in the morning . Other then getting a good sleep and taking medication is there any tips on preventing early morning seizures ? Thanks for any info

I know for me, I try to prepare for bed. I have a really good self-care routine. Going to bed at the same time and getting enough rest is very important. Please contact your daughter's provider if she is having consistent seizures. Also, keep a journal and encourage her to keep a journal of her days.
