anyone get seizures after having had measles

Has anyone got epilepsy due to a childhood illness?
If so I would be interested to know what has been your experience
I had measles when aged 4 yrs of age with a high temperature.
The next year my communication started to become more difficult.
When aged 8 I experienced my first seizure when they found scarring on my temporal lobe. I must have spent a lot of my childhood being admitted to various hospitals as I can remember mentioning to my mother that hospital was my second home.
It was a difficult time for all as my father had been wounded during World War 11 and people with epilepsy had only recently been discharged from Mental institutions etc. It wasn't until 22 years later was I informed that my scarring was due to a childhood illness.
