I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2003 when I was 13 years old. The past 9 years I was on a medication that didn’t control my seizures well, but allowed me to bring 3 beautiful boys in this world. By biggest struggle in addition to grand mal seizures, is the fear I saw in my sons eyes when he witnessed my first seizure- it broke my heart. My goal has always been to be 1 year seizure free, but I would always have a seizure the day before. Since changing meds last year, I am 1.5 years seizure free, the longest I have ever been!
