No more precursors/ notices before a seizure

Hi guys, I don't know how to word this properly but before I used to get tonic clonic seizures, I would always have a like anxiety attack feeling that would put me in like an underwater scenario where I was hiding or one in a castle I can never remember exactly what happens in, and then I'll feel okay for a bit but have a seizure within a few hours or days.

Recently that has no longer been happening, I've been sitting on my floor and I've just full on seized, right now I have a black eye from it, and there was no indicator that this was going to happen.

Does anyone know why these indicators would have stopped? I understand you won't be able to tell me why I'm suddenly having more seizures but does anyone know why that has stopped?

Also here's an image of my eye from me smacking my head against my desk while I was seizing 😂

  1. I'm sorry you're going through this—it sounds incredibly tough. While I'm not a doctor, I can share the experience of my cousin, Sarah, who also deals with seizures. Over time, she noticed her seizures started to change. She used to get auras as a warning sign, but they gradually disappeared, and the seizures began happening without any clear warning. It was really scary for her, especially because she’d sometimes get hurt during an episode.

When she talked to her neurologist, they explained that seizure patterns can evolve for various reasons—changes in medication, stress, sleep, or even how the condition itself progresses. Her doctor adjusted her treatment plan and ran some tests to better understand what was happening. Keeping a seizure diary with notes about triggers and patterns also helped them figure things out.

One thing that made a huge difference for her was finding ways to stay safe during seizures. After a bad fall, she started using a special head protection helmet. It’s lightweight and doesn’t feel bulky, but it provides great protection. She told me it gave her so much peace of mind, especially knowing she could reduce the risk of serious injuries.

If you’re interested in looking into something similar, here’s where she got hers: (https://adaptahome.co.uk/special-needs-helmet/). I hope this helps, and I’m sending you lots of good thoughts. Don’t lose hope—things can get better with the right support and adjustments.
