Photosensitive epilepsy/medicated resistant epilepsy

I have had seizures since I was 12 and I am now 60. I have never been controlled and still fall a lot. After some research I notice my trigger is stimuli it doesn't even have to be flashing lights. A shimmer of a pond of water is still just the same. It is very isolating if it was not for my husband I would be attached to my home. How do I deal with this and is there medication. I already have a VNS stimulator but it only helps a little. It is worse as i age. help

  1. I am so sorry to hear this. Have you been in recent contact with your medical doctor/team? It would be our best recommendation for you to check in with them or seek a second opinion. This cannot be an easy journey for you and we are so glad to hear that you have the support of your husband! I included some links to articles that I hope you find helpful. We are here for you and are wishing you the very best! Warmly, Kailah (Team Member)
