Age 5 epilepsy - carbamazepine not working?
Hi , just after some experiences / advice on what to expect.
My daughter who’s 5 has had epilepsy since she was 3. Started with focal seizures during the night. She’s been on carbamazepine since 3. She’s up & down with having seizures but in the last 2 months she’s started having tonic clonic seizures, becoming incontinent, longer seizures lasting up to 5 minutes. And seizures during the day. Any experiences with this? She has had a EEG today and they said about possibly doing MRI. What can I expect from this ? Any stories of adding in medication to help? Or surgery needed?

My daughter is doing better & has an MRI for tomorrow morning. It’s taken longer than expected to get sorted. Hopefully gain some answers
