Left temporal lobe epilepsy medications

If anyone here has left temporal lobe epilepsy and has had success with medications that have stopped your seizures please let us know which medications you’re taking. Thanks!

  1. I’m still considered “refractory” although it’s been almost 3 years seizure free. But I’m currently taking 200mg Vimpat twice daily, 400mg Zonegran, and 250mg Lamictal twice daily. The zonegran is like Topamax and gives brain fog. The Vimpat is a controlled substance that gives you double vision if you don’t eat a lot beforehand… but! I can drive and not scare anyone 😀

    1. Hi there! Thank you so much for posing this question to the community. While we await community responses I found an article that I think might be helpful: https://epilepsydisease.com/living/questions-to-ask-your-neurologist
