If anyone here has left temporal lobe epilepsy and has had success with medications that have stopped your seizures please let us know which medications you’re taking. Thanks!
I have petite mal seizures and I take Lamotrigine, PHENOBARBITAL, and XCOPRI for my seizures and I normally have seizures about every 3 months but not always and am still trying to figure out what triggers me having the seizures and I have had epilepsy since I was 7 years old and am still dealing with it here at 63

I have left temporal lobe partial complex seizures. It took 13 years of trying different medications to get control of my seizures. It took a VNS and Keppra, but Onfi is the medication that controls them.

I’m still considered “refractory” although it’s been almost 3 years seizure free. But I’m currently taking 200mg Vimpat twice daily, 400mg Zonegran, and 250mg Lamictal twice daily. The zonegran is like Topamax and gives brain fog. The Vimpat is a controlled substance that gives you double vision if you don’t eat a lot beforehand… but! I can drive and not scare anyone 😀
