Help need info Rudi has seizure s for 5 to 10 days a month 5 times a day normally resulting into hospital then stops for 15 to 20 days this has become a patten we have noticed now for over a 1 year he was diagnosed at 11 now 13 but since he was 2 he's has had febal convulsions every time he had cold coughs hospital have medicated but no success and medication has also has massive affects on him levetiracetam made him violent and self harm told hospital but still on them

I am so sorry to here this. I suggest being open to medication changes. I recently found out that I have drug-resistant epilepsy. However, I have been seizure free a different periods in my life ( so it is possible to be seizure free). I suggest talking to the neurologist about trying other medications and keeping a seizure journal. For instance, if a cold causes a seizure pay attention to the beginning stages of it. Be transparent with the medical team and open about trying new medicine.
