As a caregiver, how do you care for a loved one when they have a seizure?

  1. You move items out of his way turn him on his side and talk to him assuredly him everything will be ok after he’s finnished jerking i helping him to lay down on the bed until he gets finnished.

    Guardian. Angelic

  2. Make sure she is safe and cannot hurt herself, and time the seizure.

  3. have you heard of the anti Sufication pillow

  4. My husband is usually there. I was diagnosed with epilepsy 3 years ago. I've had about 4 major seizures in that time.
He doesn't get too worked up, thankfully. I'm usually clenching my fists, grinding my teeth, sweating, and maybe some convulsions.
Afterwards, there's usually a migraine for a few days, everything tastes weird, lots of memory loss, and confusion.
The last one, he was at work so after I texted him and let him know I felt one coming on, he sent my mother in law and step son to check in on me.
I ended up having 3 seizures.
Son couldn't make me sit down for a while. I was confused, then slept about 6 hours, and couldn't eat anything the rest of the day.
I'm lucky to have support. I only wish I could pinpoint the triggers better. I don't know what caused my last 2 convulsive seizures.
