Adult Bike Stabilzers (training wheels)

I have had psychomotor seizures through ages 9 until I finally had brain surgery at 16. I am now 57 and would like to use adult bike stabilzers for my bike when I have a loss of awareness. I have fallen off my bike because of this a few times. The worse that has happened was a badly bruised knee. Has anybody tried this solution for safer cycling?

  1. I personally have not tried the adult bike stabilizers. I was reading some of the reviews for them online and it seems like some people have found they make it harder to control the bike, especially on turns. Have you considered a tricycle? I came across this one in my search as well (not promoting any particular brand) and they seem to work well for others based on reviews https://m.vevor.com/adult-tricycle-c_11750/foldable-tricycle-adult-24-wheels-adult-tricycle-1-speed-3-wheel-bikes-for-adults-p_010364581661?adp=gmc&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_id=15081189022&utm_term=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIuOuIq5SggQMVitjICh10KwSmEAQYCCABEgKGlfD_BwE. I hope others will also share any personal experiences with different bike alternatives and modifications they have used! -Julie (team member)
