My Daughter, My Hero

My hero is my 18-year-old daughter. She has endured so much in her 18 years. Her epilepsy started when she was 9 years old, and for a while, it was well-controlled by medication. However, at the age of 14, her seizures became more frequent.

Seizures at school

She started having seizures at school, and one of her classmates recorded a video of her experiencing a clonic-tonic seizure. The video was then shared on social media, and she later saw it herself. Despite this, she continues to get up every day and go to school. She lives in constant fear that she might have another seizure, but she doesn’t complain. She simply does what she has to do.

Her strength and determination

I am so proud of her. She manages to work a part-time job, keeps up with her schoolwork, and faces each day with determination and strength. She is truly an inspiration.
