Two Years in Vegas, Two Seizures, One Word: Wow!

I left Las Vegas, after spending two years in the Las Vegas Valley, returning to Florida. Within nine months I had my first tonic-clonic seizure.

Waking up in the emergency room

With having no clue how I got there, I found myself waking up in the emergency room! The neurologist told me “the first one is free.” “If you have another one within six months, you cannot operate a motor vehicle for six months.” Sure enough, I went to work one morning, only to wake up in the emergency room, not knowing how I got there. Since then, I’m seizure free, on Levetiracetam 1000 mg per day.

My takaway

My take away is: Anyone can experience epilepsy. Honestly, I consider myself privileged to have it! My yoga teacher says “be kind to yourself, take care of your precious life" so that's what I intend to do.

It's nice to meet everyone!

Nice To Greet Everyone
